Program Manager, Assistive Technology & Driving Rehabilitation  |  Co-Founder, DIYAbility  |  Adjunct Professor, NYU

Holly Cohen is an occupational therapist, assistive technology practitioner, and educator with nearly three decades of experience helping people with disabilities live more independent and connected lives. As Program Manager of Assistive Technology and Driving Rehabilitation at a large academic medical center in New York City, she has spent her career bridging the gap between people and the tools that can transform their daily lives.

AdaptABLE World grew directly out of Holly's doctoral research at Boston University — and a simple truth she observed across years of clinical practice: too many people never get access to the assistive technology information they need. This chatbot is her answer to that gap, making expert-level AT guidance available to anyone, anytime, in a format that works for them.

Holly is also the co-founder of DIYAbility, an inclusive makerspace in New York City focused on designing and customizing AT solutions, and an adjunct professor at NYU where she teaches assistive technology, universal design, and accessibility. In 2016, she delivered a TED Talk on the intersection of making, inclusion, and assistive technology.
